Floating Homes: A Regulatory Issue
The Float Homes Not Vessels Coalition is a group of lake associations advocating for regulatory change to enable local municipalities to regulate float homes as they would any other home in their area. KLPOA offers this information to our members who may be interested in this issue.
What can you do?
The coalition is asking interested home owners to contact their local MP (in our case Jamie Schmale, MP for Haliburton - Kawartha Lakes - Brock) to ask that he pass on constituents' concerns to the Minister of Transportation. You can read more about the issue and what you can do here.
